We are pleased you decided to become an owner with almost 8,000 local families!

We would also like to suggest that you review the information (below) on membership that may help you to better understand your co-op and what services/products we have to offer.

Your Member Relations Staff, including those attendants at the Service Desk, are more than happy to answer any further questions on membership that you may have.

Our Store Hours

Mondays 9:00 – 6:00
Tuesdays 9:00 – 8:30
Wednesday 9:00 – 8:30
Thursdays 9:00 – 8:30
Fridays 9:00 – 8:30
Saturdays 9:00 – 6:00
Sundays 12:00 – 5:00

The Gas bar is open at 7:30 each day, Monday through Saturday. The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy is open during store hours all week.

Financial Responsibilities of Membership

In order to be an legal owner, you will be required to invest in the store. This is done through the purchase of shares. The amount of share capital required by each member is determined by the Board of Directors. If you should leave the co-op for any reason, your share capital will be returned to you in accordance with the policies established by the board.
You will pay an initial $30.00 towards your share capital when you first become a member. Each week following, you will pay an additional $2.00 until you have accumulated $1,000.00 in shares. This is automatically added to your bill when you go through our registers. Our system will let the cashier know what week the current week of our fiscal year is and what week you have paid your fees up to. We have membership types that will suit your needs. Ask for details when you sign up.
The service fees that a member pays on a weekly basis represents your contribution to the store’s overhead costs (heat, lights, wages etc.). That is the concept behind “direct charge”. Your contribution is charged to you directly and payment of the fee is required once a week whether you shop every day or every other week. Service fees are $1.00 per week and like the Share Capital fee, it will automatically be added to your grocery bill for your convenience.
By notifying the Service Desk whenever you are away for periods of four weeks or more, you can put your membership “on hold:. That way you won’t be charged your fees while you’re away. Simply stop at the service desk or email us to let us know your leaving and returning dates and we will take care of this for you.
